Originally founded in 1967 by three partners, we were originally known as Lincs & Yorks Insulation Ltd and we specialised in the manufacture of small cold rooms and refrigerated display cabinets selling to the refrigeration trade.
Over time our focus turned solely to the manufacture of doors, and Lincs Doors was born. Our product range included automatic sliding cold store doors, which were manufactured for export to hospitals and hotels in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
In 2000, we were taken over by Mike and Mandy Butler who enabled the company to continue to improve and enlarge its product offering by using modern extrusions and manufacturing methods of doors and frames for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Demand increased for the Lincs Doors brand, and heavy investment was made with a new purpose-built factory on the Europarc Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Grimsby.
With Mike and Mandy’s retirement in late 2017, ownership of Lincs Doors was taken over by Paul Walmsley, who is also the Managing Director of Central Insulations Ltd, another Grimsby based company who have shared a long term working relationship with Lincs Doors.
With new ownership came an exciting new chapter for us, along with a relocation, moving to our current premises on the Riverside Business Park on Moody Lane.
The future is bright for Lincs Doors, and we’re very excited to be able to continue to grow and flourish under new ownership. Our ethos and passion for delivering great products and excellent customer service remain unchanged and we look forward to the next 50 years!
